Summer Institute for the Gifted

Duke TIP

At Duke TIP, students can investigate law as a career path, complete their own independent film, study in the rainforests of Costa Rica, or conduct research in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains.  Opportunities to develop leadership abilities, be immersed in the culture of a foreign country such as Belize, Peru, Italy or China, or examine the complexities of green architecture, futurism or chaos theory.

ASU Summer Engineering Experience

Offers an immersion into the world of engineering for motivated rising high school seniors.  Designed to excite high school students about the engineering profession and to introduce them to the Fulton Schools of engineering.  The program will also introduce participants to the academic expectations of college, university life and the opportunities of being a Fulton Schools of engineering student.  Students will gain an appreciation of how engineers are addressing the challenges facing our society and how they can make a difference.  Participants will be provided with real-world context to the study of engineering through practical, meaningful, applied and hands-on problem solving and design-oriented projects.

7UP Robotics Camp will cover Alice 3D movie/game programming, NXT robot construction, NXT programming, and a robotics competition.  9UP Robotics Camp will cover Microsoft Robotics Studio, robot construction, VPL programming, C# programming, Web programming in Service-Oriented Computing, and a robotics competition.
